Trip.

LONDON, January 27.
To the distinction of being one of the most popular Dominion touring side 3, the New South Wales Rugby team is likely to return with the more material distinction of creating a record in gate money.
Tho 28 matches are expected to yield a total of £61,000. This includes the record takings in the match against England of £16,000. It was the first time the new stand at Twickenham had been filled. !-
The other international takings were' in the match against Scotland, £6000; against Wales, £5000; against Ireland, £4500. The smaller gate takings were £300, against North Scotland. After deducting the expenses of the tour, £12,000, and also the entertainment tax, £12,200, it means the Waratahs will hand over £36,800 to the British authorities, which will be divided in part as follows:—To England, £14,000; to Wales, £9000; to Scotland, £5800; and to Ireland, £4000. This compares with the profits of £21,000 on tho tour of the All Blacks. The Waratahs will take back £1600 in profit from the French tour, and £600 guaranteed in Vancouver.
