ARREST RESISTED
Midnight Scene In Liverpool. DETECTIVE FACES PISTOL. LONDON, January 27. A man named William Kennedy, aged 40, lias been arrested in Liverpool. The chief of police says a man and a woman left a house at midnight and walked a few yards. They were then spoken to J>y a detective, who immediately took nold of the man. A struggle ensued. The man pointed •revolver at the detective. After the •tfvggle tho revolver was wrenched from his grasp. Twenty armed policemen, in motor WSj' surrounded the house. Kennedy. *ho was not charged in connection with thfe matter, will be tried in London in connection with another alleged offence. The woman was released —(A. and N.Z. «na Sydney "Sun.")
