THRILLING FICTION.
TWO FINE STORIES.
BEGIN IN THIS ISSUE.
A LOCALLY WRITTEN SERIAL,
In our magazine section to-night will be found the opening chapters of two especially interesting serials, and we advise all lovers of good fiction to read these instalments. Those who do so will find them so attractive that they will follow them through to their absorbing climaxes.
The first, "The Rich Man," which will be continued daily, is by Katherine Tynan, one of Britain's greatest lady novelists. It deals in spirited style with problems of modern life, especially the post-war difficulties which have upset so many former conventions. The plot is full of incident and excitement, and it proceeds to a remarkable climax in a very spirited manner. Few stories to equal "The Rich Man" have been published in serial form.
"Oh, Professor!" the other story, is to be published in generous weekly instalments. It is the work of Mr. Tom Harris, a well-known resident of Auckland, and is full of local colour, dealim as it does with life in the city and in the South Sea Islands. The marvels of modern science have been used to develop new and amazing situations, and we have no doubt but that the serial will prove even more popular than Mr. Harris' previous effort in the same direction.
