STOCK AGENT ARRESTED.
FALSE PRETENCES ALLEGED.

HAMILTON, Friday. a rS t 4 r /°i eph Bmitin > a £ e <l 36, was arrested to-day on the charge that on November 30 1927, at Tirau, he obtained J' a " d one cow ' the property of m *°\ 6 ' means of fillse ♦t. V Lucas, for the accused, said the charge should have been made the basis of a civil claim. He made a strong appeal for the suppression of accused's name.
Detective Culloty said the evidence would show that a prosecution was justified. It was probable that other charges would be preferred. Accused was remanded until February », bail being allowed. The request for the suppression of the name waa refused.
