Mr. Edward Poulton, of Sydney, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. G. J. Bertinshaw, inspecting engineer for New Zealand Railways, is visiting Auckland on Departmental" business. Mr. J. R. Thompson and Mr. J. J. O'Greman, of Wellington, and Mr. G. N. Kenworthy, of Sydney, are at the Star Hotel. Professor J. G. R. Blunt, of Canterbury, is visiting Auckland. He is staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. E. Hansen, of Wanganui, Mr. R. Morrison, of Blenheim, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Amodea, of Canada, and Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Guy, of Hawera, are staying at the Commercial Hotel. Dr. E. I. A. Macdonald, of Auckland, who is at present studying in England, has recently passed the primary examination for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, London. The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. George Baildon, and the chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, are members of a launch party which has arrived at Whangarei (says our Whangarei correspondent). Dr. Marsden, Director of Scientific Industrial Research, Mr. J. A. Campbell, Director of Horticulture, and Mr. W. H. Rice, chief orchard instructor, Auckland, all of the Agricultural Department, will visit White Island during the week-end. The Rev. W. Kinmont, late of Dunedin, has been ordained and inducted to the charge of Condobolin Presbyterian Church by the Presbytery of Orange, N.S.W. The Rev. Kinraont's father was in charge of St. David's Church here for some time. Among those at the Central Hotel are Mr. N. H. Anderson (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Ferguson (Napier), Mr. and Mrs. E.
