WITHOUT A TICKET
| 'When the s.s. Maunganui arrived from Sydney this morning, John McLellan (28) was handed over to the police on a charge of stowing away 011 board the ship at Sydney last Friday.
I McLellan told the magistrate at the 'police Court this morning that he went on board the Maunganui drunk at Sydney. On awakening he found that the ship was well out to sea. However, the police suggested that he had his shaving gear with him, and that it looked as if McClellan had stowed away. He was remanded until "Jhursday so that further inquiries nriglit btf made.
