RIFLE SHOOTING.

CITY AND SUBURBS CLUB. The first round for trophies presented by Messrs. J. Hlslop and J. J. Kingston was fired on Saturday at 300 yards (two shoots of ten shots each), as It was considered inadvisable to erect the big targets for the longer ranges, owing to the high wind. The first round of the "knock-out" competition for the cnp presented by Mr. R. A. Laidlaw was also shot, la conjunction with the other shooting, the juniors receiving handicaps from the A grade shots.
