FORGERY AND THEFT.
MAN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE.
Pleas of guilty were entered crick -Tohn McDonald, aged 27, in the. Police. Court vesterdav afternoon before .Mr. W. K. McKean, S.M., to a charge « forgery, to two charges of theft fr® o houses, and t" two charges of breaißiand enterinir with theft. Chief Detective Cumu;ini:> prosecuted. Accused on' -Inly 1M last forged * cheque for I-/ and passed it off to a man who had acted as a fri el ®_J him. On August <> he broke and entHel the house of Cecil Led. situated in Gtf Road, and stole an overcoat valued £10, the property of Alfred Lamp ol *" On August Is he :-tole from the house of Tr-abel Johnston in Symonds Street a suitcase and contents of a total of jC 10 10/, tiie property of Enffij Morton. On September 9he broke an entered the hou-e of William Kirby at Grey Lynn and -tole a suit rained • £8 S/. A little more than a mt ® later, October IS. he stole from th? house of Alexander McLean at Eden, a handbag and contents of value of £4 7/0, the property of Dorotiv McFarlane. Accused was committed to the Snpre® 5 Court for sentence.
