WAIKATO DAIRYING.
PHENOMENAL INCREASE.
BUTTERFAT PRODUCTION.
£590,000 PAID THIS SEASON.

The total value of the butterfat on which the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., paid out on November 20 was no less than £498,426, again»t £355,461 for the same period last year. The increase is £142,965, representing an addition of over 40 per cent in respect of butterfat supplied from the beginning of the season, in June, up to the end of October. The total value is no less than £1,235,219, against £913,421 in the corresponding period last year.
The figures indicate that already this season the company has paid out to suppliers a total amount of £321,798 in advance of payments made for the corresponding period of last year.
Eight other Waikato factories, independent of the New Zealand Co-opera-tive Dairy Co., made advances aggregating over £92,000 on ihe October -butterfat supply, and the combined payments of these factories, with the huge amount paid by the big company, reach a figure in excess of £590j000.
