LONDON, November 20.
The "Daily Mail's" Paris correspondent reports that the Deputies in 1917, following the representations of Dr. Pinard, a children's specialist, forbade the sale for infants of rubber comforters as they were dangerously unhealthy.
The Senate, having contrary scientific advice, vetoed the bill five times, despite the victory of the advocates of the comforter at the inquiry by the Senate Hygiene Committee. The Senate has now agreed to adhere to the verdict of a joint committee of doctors and scientists. (Sydney "Sun.") :
