MINE MANAGERS REPORTS.
New Waiotahi.—The manager reports that the drive hillward for the WaiotahiCambria reef has been advaced 7ft for the week. The country rock continues to be the same hard grey andesite. Moanataiuri. —The manager reports that the drive seaward on the reef from No. 1 winze has been extended 7ft. Thee reef averages 3ft and still looks well, carrying nice mineral blend and silica. Strong colours and dabs of gold were seen in the ore. As the country rock is still of a splendid class and 'ho i-eef looks well. Two shifts are now working at this point. The drive on the footwall leader off the seaward drive has been extended feet, a total of loft. This leader continues to look well, being 12in wide, strong dabs of gold were seen in the ore. This leader is still going with the footwall at very near right angles from the main reef, and is also in splendid country for making gold.
Lucky Shot. —Report dated November 18: We have commenced driving crosscut from the bottom of the winze. This drive is now in sft. The country rock passed through is a very mild sandstone. The drive on the main reef going north-east has been advanced 4ft for the week. The quartz broken out is heavily mineralised and shows colours of gold. The reef here is 4ft and is now veering away north. There are still blows of quartz showing along the footwall country. The winze on the junction ot' the main reef and footwall dropper has been sunk u further 3ft. The footwall portion of the reef carries nice biend and shows colours and dabs of gold. As we are carrying a portion of the footwall country with the winze there is still more quartz in the hanging wall which has not been prosi pected.
