A PROFITABLE COW.
A remarkable record of production has been put up to date this season by a grade Jersey cow bred and owned by Mr. A. Ross, of Mangatapora. The figures supplied by the New Zealand Herd-Testing Association show that the ani...-I's return for 111 days was 2951b of butterfat. This cow topped Mr. Ross' herd last season with 5551b of fat in 268 days, and it is estimated that this season the figure will be close upon 8001b of fat.
