PROOF OF PATERNITY.
An Austrian Court has accepted . a blood test as proof of paternity in an affiliation ease. A woman named Rosea claimed alimony for the support of her child'from a man named Siegbert, who said that .he was not the father of her dttfd.

The professor explained that, whereas 500.000 persons might belong to the same blood group, it was easy to establish close relationships, such as father and son, by a morphological and physiological comparison.
Out of 60,000 only 10.000 would hawthe same shape of head, 500 the same nose, 100 the same ears, and 20 the same eye; while no two would liave exactly the same lines on all the fingers and op the palms.
Rare similarities which are found between only closely related persons give absolute proof of this relationship, was the professor's opinion. ,
The Court decided to accept this expert testimony, and ordered Siegbert to pay alimony.
