ROMA BOOM.
RAPID RISE IN SHARES,

The recent promising reports from the Roma oil bore, Queensland, have caused an improvement in the shares of oil prospecting companies. Romas, which are now quoted on the Stock Exchange, jumped from 55/ to 90/.
The latest report from the Roma, states that oil flowed at the rate of 100 gallons an hour from the bore on Monday morning in the shape of a white emulsion. This emulsion contains oil in the proportion of one-fifth to onequarter of the whole.
The valve then closed, allowing only the gas to escape. The pressure of gas is 4701b per square inch.
