RUGBY FOOTBALL.
REFEREES' ASSOCIATION.
At a meeting of the Association last evening, over which Mr. P. Mackic presided, Mr. Geo. Grigg was made a life member of the association for services rendered.
It was decided to send remits forward for the annual meeting of the N.Z.R.R.A. that it be a request to the New Zealand Rugby Union to honour referees' tickets issued by a Rugby Union at all matches controlled by the N.Z. Rugby Union, and that it be a recommendation that the referee place the ball in the scrum on all occasions.
A new move was made in the Association's activities by the formation of a sports and social committee, with c. view to holding social functions and taking part in such games as cricket, bowls, swimpiing, etc., on somewhat the -same lines as house games are conducted at present. Mr. Hunter Harrison was appointed hon. secretary of the committee.
REFEREES' APPOINTMENTS. HOUSE GAMES FOR WEDNESDAY. Dominion Motors, Ltd. v. Schofield and Co., Show Grounds No. 1, at 5 p.m., Mr. R. C. Johnston; Hoyes Motors v. Harrison and Gash, Show Grounds No. 2, 5 p.m., Mr. A. J. Wakefield.
