SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP RIBBONS.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION'S PROPOSALS. SOME STRONG WORDS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. "For colossal cheek and impertinence it takes the cake," said Mr. J. M. Johnston at a meeting of the general committee of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, when referring to the suggestion that the Auckland Agricultural Association should issue championship show ribbons for all classes. After strong comment had been passed the following resolution was adopted: "That the Royal Society and the North Island A. and P. Conference resents the remarks made by the president and other committeemen of the Auckland A. and P. Association, and points out that it is not within their power to attempt to create the Auckland Association as being one permitted to issue New Zealand championships. This power can only rest with the Royal Societv."
