MASSEY MEMORIAL.
DESIGN FINALLY APPROVED.
TAKAKA MARBLE TO BE USED.

WELLINGTON, Monday.
The design of the Massey memorial, to be erected at Point Halswell, has been finally approved. The report of Mr. Hurst Seager, the consulting architect, with illustrations and a detailed description of the memorial, will be published for general information. The model of the memorial, which is at present in Parliament House, will be exhibited in Wellington in the coarse of a few daya.
The Prime Minister Intimated to-day that the Massey Memorial Board had approved the use of white marble from n part of the Takaka quarries which had not previously been opened, and which had been most favourably related upon by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
