OUR COMPETITION CORNER.

—One of this week s puzzles is a Word Combination square. The sketch shows eight squares with a four-letter word in each square. First make as many words as possible without going outside each particular square. r j hus from the first can be built "pear" and "reap." Then take each square in company with the adjoining square on the right (squares 1 and 2 will make "pest," "past," ctc.) and write down the words built in a second list. You must not use tlie same letter twice in the same word in single squares (thus you could not make "err" because there are not two R's in the square). In double squares you can use the same letter twice, providing it occurs twice (once in each square).. A "Boys' (or Girls') Own Annual" awaits the winner. There are two other prizes of 4/ and 2/G. 90.—Write a sentence containing eleven words, whose final letters make the name "Shakespeare." Thus the first will end with "S," the second with "IT." and so on. The prizes arc a "Bovs' (or Girls') Own Annual," 3/, aiul 2/0. 97.—Elsewhere on the page is a picture which lacks a title. Can you think of one suitable? The first prize is a "Boys' (or Girls') Own Annual." Three others of 2/ will be awarded. 98. To our veteran Jigglers, instructions arc no longer necessary; but for the benefit of new readers I again indicate the bottom riyht hand corner of the picture. Trace this line, embodying it in an ORIGINAL Indian ink drawing. A "Boys' (or Girls') Own Annual" awaits the winner. Two oilu'r prizes of 2/(5 will be given. COMPETITION RULES. ; 1.
