SPLENDID RESPONSE.
HOSPITAL AUXILIARY EFFORT. FIRST COLLECTION DAT. SUM OF £791 15/7 RECEIVED. The first collection day, held last Friday under the auspices of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary, resulted in a splendid response from the Auckland public, a sum of £791 15/7 being received, which will be devoted to the Hospital Patients and Families' Fund. The patron of the organisation (Mrs. Campbell), the president (Mrs. Kidd), and the council of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary extend grateful thanks to the large body of workers who assisted, and to the Auckland public for appreciation of a good work.
