HAS LABOUR MADE GOOD?
What has Labour done to justify the claims that are made for it? Although never in offie® in New Zealand, there is a place where it has had a good try out. In Queensland the past twelve years a Labour Government has not only been in office, but has been in a position to put any legislation it wished on the Statute Book. There is one effective test by which the party may be judged —hi* jt raised _ (real) wage's? Have the people _ in general, and the workers (so-called) in particular, any greater purchasing power in Queensland than in, say, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Westralia or New ZealawlWill some Labour man show that the answer is "Yes"; and if it is "No,"' what is the u«# of their policy?
