DAIRY PRODUCE.
MARKET CONDITIONS
Id a review of market conditions, Mr. W. Goodfellow, managing director of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., stated that there hiul beeiv little activity in the casein market daring the month, bat the market was very firm, due to the anticipated redaction in the Argentine make. There was every indication of another very good year for casein supplies, added Mr. Goodfellow.
The market was very stable for Anchor I milk powder, bat * good deal of outside competition was being experienced from Holland, as was usual at this time of the year. The demand in Great Britain was, expanding and in spite of very keen competition of the London market the New I Zealand production still held the premier position.
In conclusion, Mr. GoodfeDow said the outlook for all dairy products, due to the! abnormal conditions in Canada, the Argen-j tine and Australia, was better it had been for many years. In sounding a note of caution, Air. Goodfellow said dairy farmers must not expect similar prices in future. When New Zealand had again to meet, competition from the countries named, on conditions t here becoming normal, prices would undoubtedly be on a lower scale than that ot the current season.
