TO JUDGE ELOCUTION.
ACROSS FROM BRISBANE. MR. H. C. BORRADALE ARRIVES. Across from Australia to judge the elocution class in the Auckland Competitions, Mr. H. C. Borradale, of Brisbane, arrived in Auckland by the Marama from Sydney this morning. It is just eleven years since Mr. Borradale was in the Dominion. He was here in 1916 with a theatrical company
known as the "Red Dandle*." Before that, he was living in Auckland for about six or seven years, when he was a member of the Auckland Shapespearean Society. Mr. Borradale learned his elocution from a well-known Auckland master, and incidentally won three championships. After he went away from Auckland, he was in several theatrical companies, and was at one time with the J. and N. Tait firm. Although Mr. Borradale has been judging only for a short time, he< has had a wide experience, and is recognised over the other side as a first-class authority on elocution. He has judged in all the big Australian cities.
