THE ANNUAL MEETING
PRESIDENT REVIEWS SEASON
The annual meeting of the Auckland Racing Club was hold at the Chamber of Commerce this afternoon. The president, Sir Edwin Mitehelson, occupied tiic chair, and there was a good attendance of members. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the president said it was again his pleasure to congratulate members on another successful year, which had resulted in a profit of £1*2,142 15/0, being !e<s than the prolir. last year by £3716. This was accounted for by the inelement weather experienced at the spring meeting and the reduction in receipts froan the totaligator. After allowing for depreciation, £947.) 18/5, a balance remained to be added to capital account of £26(>G 17/1. This, he thought, members would admit was a most satisfactory result when consideration was given to the tightness of the mon»\v market throughout the Dominion during the last financial year.
