ALLEGED BOOKMAKING.
TWO MEN BEFORE COURT,
REMANDED UNTIL WEDNESDAY.
Cornelius McDevitt (37) and Charles Pliilpott (72), who were both arrested on Saturday afternoon, appeared at the Police Court this morning when they were each charged with carrying on the business of bookmakers and laying tote odds.
Mr. Bryce Hart, who appeared for them, asked for a remand until Wednesday morning.
This was granted, bail being allowed in each case.
