"NOT OUR SORT."
A DISHONEST IMMIGRANT. TWO YEARS' BORSTAL TREATMENT '"It is evident that you are not the type of inirnigia nt we want in New Zealand," said Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court to-day, when sentencing a youth named Henry Hurgt O'Connor on 14 charges of theft. His Honor said accused came to the country in April of la*t year under the scheme for assisted immigration of public school boys. He was convicted of theft at Wellington and placed 011 probation. Since then lie had come to Auckland, where 110 fewer than 14 thefts, all of a serious nature, had been proved against him. Apparently lie had abandoned himself to ciime despite the fact that he was so leniently dealt with at Wellington.
O'Connor was committed to the Borstal Institute for two years.
