For the player himself it is particularly so, as he was attic to obtain work only last week after • four months' idleness, while so far as Auckland Soccer is concerned, with the :;ear approach of important representative games Kay's absence will be a heavy blow. \ As the insurance scheme propounded ' | by the A.F.A. has not yet, materialised. J the Thistle Club at its meeting to-night [ will consider the question of what can | i>e done in the injured player's interest. *i Dr. McDougall is optimi>tic regarding _ I Kay's recovery, which it is hoped will ? j be attained before the Auckland repreI sentatives leave at the end of August e j on the Southern tour.
