[ . Novel umbrellas are among the dress etceteras which Same Fashion is providing for women this spring. Some of them are very amusing. A woman in the Park was noticed by a London correspondent carrying one of these new umbrellas, a short-handled affair, with a bright red silk cover. The umbrella had the quaintest little round head of a black man for a handle, while in place of the usual stereotyp ed straight ferrule was —a pair of feet. Instead of carry" ing her umbrella in the general way, the owner, of the "little man* brolly had it carefully tucked up in her left .arm, rather in the way that • child carries a doll. So this spring we shall see brollies with golliwog heads and black feet ferrules, in conjunction with bright blue or red covers.
