Herbert Stanley, who made a sensational escape from Darlinghurst Court House on April 7. was discovered in Albury gaol, where, under the na.ni* of Waterson, be Had been committed for I trial on charges of burglary and stcaJing a motor car. It is alleged that Stanley, after "hi* escape from Darlinghurst, made the journey to Albury district in two motor cars which he stole, and abandoned them en route. He is credited with six times escaping from custody under sensational circumstances. Herbert Stanley had been brought down to Dar'.inchum Courthouse to receive sentence last April, and was wwtmj in the corndor below tie dock, when be received permissicti from a constable te visit the lavatory.
