CHANGE OP HEADQUARTERS. PARS ABOUT PLAYERS. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Referees' Association will be held at Wellington on Thursday night. Amongst the business to be brought forward is a notice of motion that the headquarters of the association be moved to Auckland. Hockey players will be interested to know that Dhian Chand, the brilliant centre forward of the Indian Army team which toured New Zealand last year, is on active service in China, The North versus South Island match will be played at Christchurch on the return of the New Zealand team from Australia in September. The Auckland Hockey Association has decided to postpone all fixtures on the date arranged for the fourth Soccer Test, Canada versus New Zealand. Of late quite a lot of discussion has ensued over the arrangement to decide when play should cease- in the earlier games at Renrhera on Saturdays. The association rules provide that matches set down to commence at 2 p.m. must finish at 3.15 p.m., irrespective of time lost in starting and during the progress of the match. During the last two weeks at least the result's of the scores have changed after 3.15 p-m. E. McLeod, the well-"known ex-Auck-land representative who captained the New Zealand team in the winning Test against the Indians, was an interested spectator at Remuera last Saturday. ; Waikato have given Waipa permission to take part in the White Horse Cup tournament, but will enforce affiliation next season. RODNEY REP. TEAM. The following players have been selected to represent Rodney in the White Horse Cup competition, which commences at Auckland on Monday next July 4:—L. Beresford, R. Civil, w' Croker, M. Edwards, J. Geortz, P. Grimmer, F. Hood, C. Matthew, A Smith, J. Smith, R. Smith, N. Tomlinson, A. Toovey, A. Torkington, E. Wyatt. Mr. P. W. Smith, of Matakana, will accompany the team as manager. Arrangements have been made for the team to play an Auckland senior team at Remuera on Saturday next, July 2.
