The lirst loading by the circle for the study of modern drama, under the auspices of the Waihi branch of the Workers' Educational Association, took place last night, under the leadership of Miss Mueller. The Mayor presided, and there was a very large attendance. The play chosen was G. Bernard Shaw's •'Arms and the Man," which was enthusiastically received. Before the reading, an interesting lecturette was given by Miss Mueller on Shaw and his plays. The membership of the W.E.A. in Waihi is rapidly increasing.
