SENIOR AND JUNIOR TITLES

The qualifying rounds of the senior and junior championships were played by members of the Waitemata Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. Those who qualified were :—

A match between members of the Glendowie and Otahubu Golf Clubs took place on the Otahuhn links on Saturday. Following are the results, Glendowie players being mentioned first in each case: F. EVERSLDE LADIES' CLUB

Last Saturday the above ladies' club played a match for Mrs. Lever's trophy, and resulted in a win for Miss Walker with a score of 69. Miss J. Little was runnerup with 71.

EVERSLIE LADIES V. WAIUKU.

At Waiuku links week Waiuku beat the Everslie Ladies' Club in a friendly match. Two matches remained unfinished on account of the very adverse weather conditions. The results are as follow, Waiuku ladles taking precedence:—

Miss Christensen and Miss Walker, unfinished ; Miss Neal and Miss J Little, unfinished ; Miss Muir beat Mrs. Lever. 5 and 3: Miss Kidd beat Miss Cosgrave, 1 up: Miss null beat Mrs. Bilkey, 8 and 4 ; Miss Aldred beat Mrs. Wardell, 7 and 5; Miss Austin beat Mrs. Lacassle. 9 and 7; Mrs. Herrold beat Miss Slack, 8 and 6.

In the King Country golf championships the men's section medal handicap resulted in a tie between G. F. Francis (Otorohanga), 82—12—70. and D. Williams (Te Awamutu), 88—18—70. In the play offWilliams' gross score was 88 and Francis' 100. The bogey match was won by W. G. Fisher (Taumarunui). with 3 up. The next best cards were: M. Barnett (Te Awamutu). A. Sandal (Taumarunui) and D. Williams (Te Awamutu), all 1 up. Sandal's concluding round of the championship equalled bogey for the course.
