The total wealth of Canada is estimated at over £4,400,000,000, according to a bulletin issued by the Canadian Pacific. The per capita wealth is £505, which is one of the highest in the world. | Agricultural values comprise £1,600,000,000, urban real estate £1,200,000,000, railways, over £400,000,000. Toronto' own a third, Quebec a quarter, and Saskatchewan an eighth. "It is significant," states the bulletiu, "that the per capita wealth, which ignores the undeveloped resources, is the greatest in the western four provinces, where natural resources other than farm lands are least developed." Remarkable increases are shown in the revenue from wool, dairy products, tobacco, and honey, the last of which five years ago was unrecognised by the Government, and now enjoys a revenue of £400,000. In a review of Canada's progress in 1928, Mr. Percy Hum, M.P„ stated that the Canadian bank deposits which were £6.000,000, in 1868, were, last year, £400,000,000, and the average wealth of every Canadian, man, woman, and child, was officially estimated at £505. According to the New Zealand Year Book, in 1925, the wealth per head of population in the Dominion was £553, or of persons 20 years and over £909 per head.
