At a meeting of the Thames County Council, Mr. H. Lowe presiding, the dispute with the Thames Borough Council over the deposit of debris at Cuiin'i Bend on the Kauaeranga Road was finally arranged. Representatives of both councils met on the spot, and after a consultation, agreed that the borough council bear the cost of repairs and preventive work to the extent of £37 10 . and the county council provide the culvert across the road. He suggested that tne council find out who was at fault, the plumbers or the householders. Some of the latter might not have made the necessary application. The council decided to adopt Cr Bush's suggestion.
