NEW ZEALAND FIFTEEN.

SELECTION COMMITTEE. OTAGO'S INDIGNATION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. In Otago Rugby circles considerable dissatisfaction is expressed at the personnel of the South Island members of the New Zealand selection committee. It is felt that after last year's fiasco, when many men were played out of their usual positions, an Otago nominee would have been considered this year, but once again one of the most important New Zealand Rugby centres has been passed over. The selectors chosen are fairly well known locally. Mr. A. R. Adams . (West Coast) is well known as the [famous ex-Otago 'Varsity centre threequarter. Mr. T. Millike'n (Canterbury) is not so well known. He has represented New Zealand University, but his experience is much more limited than the unsuccessful Otago nominee. Mr. J. Mitchell, who represented Otago for many years, and has been one of Otngo's selectors for some years. Arthur Geddes (Southland), could not be passed over, as he has been a New Zealand selector for some years. It looks, says the critic, that if the New Zealand Union is determined to offer some sop to the minor unions, which appears the best reason for Mr. Adams' inclusion in the list, and though he has done a lot for West Coast football, there seems little doubt that Otago should have been considered more than was the case. Parochialism may be alleged against Otago. but the fact remains that Otago, losing only one match during a heavy season last year, had only one man in the South Island team, and yet frequently minor unions were found with representation that arc not justified ! by form or results. THE REP. TEAMS. i Players chosen for next j SATURDAY'S GAMES. Nineteen players have been chosen to ' train for the '"A" representative match, | Auckland v. Thames, at Eden Park, next ! Saturday. Games in the senior "B" section will bo played next Saturday, and this accounts, perhaps, for the fact that no 4 *B" section players are included in the team. Later the teams will be advised which nights they will train. THE THAMES PLAYERS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. The following players have been chosen by the selector, Mr. W.
