WAIKATO NOTES.
Miss M. Douglas, has returned to Hamilton from a trip to Rotorua and Hastings. Mrs. A. J. Bond, of Hamilton, is on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Chittv has returned to Cambridge from a visit to Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs'. Hutchings, of Wellington, have been on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. Ellingham, of Napier, is the guest of Mrs. H. Douglas, Hamilton. Mrs. R. G. Guy, of Hamilton, is on a visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Allen, of Inglewood, have been staying in Hamilton. Mrs. Wyvern Wilson, of Hamilton, is staying at Helensville. Miss L. Cussen, of Dunedin, is spending a holiday in Hamilton. Miss Bray, of Raglan, has left to take up duties on the staff of the Kawakawa Hospital. Miss W. Manning, of Hamilton, is away on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. T. Gould, of Sydney, is the guest of Mrs. J. Taylor, .-it Cambridge. On Thursday afternoon an "At Home" was held in the Claudelands parish hall, which was organised by the ladies' guild. Mrs. C. Bennett and Mrs. F. Bond sang several songs, Mrs. F. Spencer and Mrs. McMillin played two duets. Those present were: Mesdames H. Valder, C. Ross, P. Snell, C. Valder, H. Gillies. J. Atkinson, 0. Farrer, H. M. Baker, G. P. Rogers, Lamprell, Shannon, Woodward, R. Clark, Strang, B. Bagley, A. Baker, J. Woodward, E. M. Cowie, A. Speedy, E. H. Hammond, A. Gifford, Murray, A. Cooper,, E. M. Cowie, C. Bennett, Curling, Stubbs, J. McKinnon, Hampshire, Bownes, J. D. Smith, E. R. Gresham. Mitchell, Clayton-Greene, Walders, Williams, T. Murray, Nayo, Course, Horspool, Wilkin, Sergei, S. Simmons. Blechynden. Whiteley, Houldeu, Hubert, Hammond, Misses Cowie, Gillies, Wratten, Clayton-Greene, and Daldy.
Mrs. W. Reeve, of Cambridge, gave a most delightful afternoon tea at her home on Saturday. The guests were: Mesdames C. Hunter, J. Boyee, Grylls, T. Bovce, W. Maberlv, G. Simpson, K. Ready", E. L. Hardy, C. Wood, F. Tucker, K. Wilkinson, Misses Steele. Muir, R. Speight, Lanpton. M. Onions, D. Langton, and O. Wilkinson.
A farewell afternoon to Mrs. W. Watson was held in the Frankton croquet pavilion on Tuesday. The guest of the afternoon was presented with a handsome linen supper cloth, from the club members. Those present were: Mesdames Davies, Denz, Cray, Halberg. Jones, Clayton, Mason, Steel, Andrew, Roberts, Roekell, Middleton, Thompson. O'Brien, McGonnell, and Brockelsby.
The tennis dance held in the Leamington hall at Cambridge, on Tuesday, was a well-attended function. Those present were: Mesdames F. Swayne, Bourke, Brittain, Peake. Goodwin, Misses Hughes, Collis, G. Brittain, Kelly, Hicks, M. Moule, J. Hulme, Stears, E. Garland, 1). Neelev. P. Armstrong, K. Brabant, I. Oarland, Attwood, B. Crowther. Veale, Hart, Collis, Langton, Giles, L. Hay, M. Duncan, Glanville. Jury, X. Armstrong, D. Hav, H. Crowther. A card partv was enjoyed by a number of guests at Mrs. D. Andrews' home on Wednesday. Those present were: Mesdames Wood, Ferguson. DruW, Gough, Redmond, Buckland, Hißgott, Payne, Newsome, Henderson, Scott, \lfen Edwards, Vealie, Fenwick, Irvine, Lowry, Xisbet, Misses Jones and Ibbottson. . A jolly little dance was held in fet. Peter's Hall on Thursday, arranged by the Young People's Club. Those present were: Mesdames Curling, H. Ross, Misses Edgecumbe, D. Clark, S. Wright, C. Quick, D. Sweeney, I. Guy, C. Lnitty, M. Green, F. Hall. M. Gwynne. King. Cox B. Manning, Saunders, L. Bullock, Wilson, J. Pratt, Lightbournc, Perham. Geary.
