BENEFIT ENTERTAINMENT. OVER £100 RAISED. (Br Telegraph.—Own Correspondent > WHANGAREI, this day. The receipts from a benefit performance staged by local amateur entertainers in the Town Hall on Saturday exceeded £100, which will be devoted to the alleviation of unemployed distress. The amount will also carry a Government subsidy.
