Sydney Makes Big Preparations for Broadcasting. PUBLICITY OF BEAM. (Received 12 noon ) SYDNEY, this day. At the Wireless Commission, evidence was given that the Stnte Government proposed to erect one high-powered central station in or near Sydney, and six relay stations, for broadcasting purposes. The scheme, in addition, will be an alternative means of communication in tho event of the di-location of the telegraph service. Mr. G. A. Taylor, representing the Association t*"i" the Development of Wireless, giving evidence, said he had received a cable from a Victorian experimenter at present liv in-_r in America, which stated that the Australian beam service between England and Australia was well received there when >er.t either way round the world.
