MY PUPPY.
I have a little puppy dog, He's very small an' fat; He plays all day out in the sun, An ne'er annoys the cat. He likes to chase the butterflies Among the flowers gay; He never catches them at all— He chases them away! I sometimes take him for a walk Along the beach nearby; He watches carefully, an' then To catch a wave he'll try. Of course he only gets all wet, An' then comes up to me, An' splutters hard, an' shakes himself, Till I'm as wet as he. ~SM£Ei
