THE AVONDALE JOCKEY CLUB.
Nominations for the Avondale Stakes (1927), Avondale Guineas (1928), and All-aged Stakes (1928) closed with the secretary of the Avondale Jockey Club, Mr. A. j. Farquhar, yesterday, and they constitute a record for each event. For the Avondale Stakes 101 nominations were received, for the Avondale Guineas 145, and for the All-aged Stakes 156, an increase of 24, 9 and 13, respectively.
