GISBORNE CLUBS.
[ ANOTHER ONE MOOTED. The Poverty Bay Trotting Club have not found sufficient support in their district for that branfch of horse-racing, and now wish to change their constitution to that of a racing club to be called the Turanganui Racing Club. This, if granted, will make three racing clubs in Gisborne, for already there is the Poverty Bay Turf Club and Gisborne Racing Club. Each of the racing clubs has four days a year, and if the extra permit the Poverty Bay Trotting Club have was given to one of them instead of starting another new club, it would be much better. Surely two racing clubs are sufficient for Gisborne?
