ASLEEP IN A TANK.
OH RECLAMATION AREA. MAN'S QUEER "HOME." Last nisrht at eleven o'clock Constable Du Temple went down to the reclamation area at Freeman's Bay and looked inside a tank. There he found William Postlcwaite (i>S) sound asleep. Postle--waito's slumlter was disturbed and he was given a ride to the Police Station in a taxi cab. This morning Postlcwaite appeared at the Police Court, when he pleaded guilty to a charge of boinir an idle and disorderly person with inMifTuient lawful means of support. Sub-Inspect or Lew in. handed up accused's !i«t of previous convictions to Mr. W. R. McKean. the magistrate. Postlewaitc had six previous convictions for vagrancy, and only in March last was -entenced to two months' imprisonment. • I «ce that lie has been m prison practicallv the whole of last year, and I Mii.pose the only thing to do is to semi him back there again." said Mr. McKean, in sentencing Postlcwaite to three months' imprisonment.
