RUNAWAY CAR.
DIVES ON TO LAWN. A motor car, which the owner, Mr. J. P. Stevenson, of 2, Burrows Avenue. Parnell, left standing at the top of Edgerly Road, Newmarket, last evening, suddenly ran down and across the road and crashed through a stone wall on to the front lawn of a house. The lawn is about six feet below the level of the footpath, and the car was found standing almost on end with its front wheels on the lawn, and its rear wheeis on the footpath. As far as could be seen in its present position, the was very little damaged, but salvaging it promises to be a difficult task.
