WAR PENSIONS.
BRITAIN'S BIG BILL
LONDON, June 8. A report' has been issued which shows ' the position as regards British war ! pensioners. To the end of March Britain had spent I £725,000,000 in pensions. There were j 1,665,000 beneficiaries, including 46,000 living overseas. There were still 29,000 officers and men under treatment. The death rate among disabled pensioners is extra- j ordinarily low, being only 151 per 1000. ■
