PROBATION GRANTED.
CHARGES AGAINST O'NEILL.
RESTITUTION TO BE MADE,
Frank John O'Neill, the traveller who yesterday pleaded guilty to three charges of having failed to account to his employers for a total of £20 19/, appeared at the Police Court this morning for sentence. The Probation Officer, Mr. W. J. Campbell, said that as the result of his investigations, he would recommend that O'Neill be admitted to probation. The magistrate decided to take this course and fixed the term at two years. Restitution of £20 19/ was ordered.
