WITH THE FIVE FINGER GESTURE. IN" PREJUDICE OF DISCIPLINE. (P,y Telegraph.—Pres# Association.) HAWERA, this day. (.liargps of disobeying a lawful command given by a superior officer, using insubordinate language, and performing an act to the prejudice of good order and military discipline, were preferred against Staff Sergt.-Major C. S. Mahoney at a sitting of a court martial to-day". The charges arose from an incident alleged to have taken place at the annual camp of the Second Mounted Rifles, on Waverley racecourse last month. Accused, it is stated, refused to go to a tent when ordered to do so bv Captain B. \V. Harvey, refused to take orders from territorial officers, and performed an insulting act with his hand.
