FINED FOR STRIKING.
W.A. NEWSPAPER HANDS. (Received 1 rJn ., PERTH, thi* day. -In connection with the recent strike of newspaper hands on a number of ! newspapers, the mechanical staff of a ; West Australian newspaper were fined £1 13/6 costs, on a charge of being concerned in doing something in the nature of a strike. The magistrate said as this was a first offence he had imposed light fines.
