JOCKEYS INJURED.
ACCIDENTS AT EIXERSLIE. TWO BROKEN COLLARBONES. The Great Northern meeting, •which concluded at Ellerslie yesterday, and at which jumping events were a strong feature, saw a number of horses fall during the three days, and several jockeys suffered injuries, though not regarded as likely to be serious.
When Lady Arch fell in the Orakei Hurdles yesterday, L. E. Coleman had his collarbone fractured. He was taken to the Hospital, and after being attended to proceeded to his home. C. Taggart, ■who was thrown from Comical in the "Winter Steeplechase, had his collarbone bruised, and S. Henderson, who was thrown when Beau Cavalier fell in the same race, received a severe shaking, and did not ride again during the day. H. Gilmer, who received a fall from Ramblin' Kid yesterday, escaped with a sprained thumb.
K. Morrison, who received a kick on the head when Eayo fell with him in the Greeulane Steeplechase on Friday, was admitted to the Hospital last evening suffering from concussion. On Friday he was treated in the casualty room at the racecourse, and as he was apparently all right he was allowed to proceed to his home.
