CAR STRIKES POST.

IXVERCARGILL, Wednesday. In swerving to avoid a cyclist in East Road, at 11 o'clock last night, a motor car struck a telegraph post. The driver escaped practically uninjured, but a young man named Longuet, who was a passenger in the car, iwoived an cxtcil"Yβ fracture of the skull. He lies in a epical condition in tho hospital.
