WESTFIELD MARKETS. CHOICE BEEF SELLS BETTER. SHEEP ABOUT THE SAME. At the Westfield stock sales yesterday there was a larger yarding of beef cattle. The demand for prime quality was keen, and prices advanced slightly, but for ordinary sorts last week's range was unaltered. In sheep there was an average yarding and no change in values. Lambs continue to sell freely, and prime quality realised up to 27/ per head. There •was again a large yarding of calves, and it was difficult to make sales except for prime quality. The pig pens were wall filled. Baconers maintained late values, but porkers again showed a slight fall. The range of prices as compared with last week waa as follow:— This Week. Last Week. RATES FOR BEEF UNCHANGED. Dalgety and Company, Ltd..—At Frankton yesterday there was an average yarding of beef and there was no change in prices.
