He had had an account with a Wellington bank, and when it was exhausted he issued the cheques. He had not previously been before the court.
After Mr. B. J. Dolan. counsel for accused, had pointed out that all five offences were committed during a short period and while accused was on a drinking bout, Mr. E. Page, S.M.. deferred sentence till Tuesday, to enable a probation oflier to prepare a report.
